Common export errors and how to fix them
Export your Print Studio, Sheet, or Doc project to a print-ready file. Pick the right format for your use case.
Exporting to PDF, PNG, or JPG
Choose a format
- PDF — best for most print jobs. Vector content stays sharp at any size. Single file for multi-page documents.
- PNG — best for high-quality images with transparency. Each page is a separate file. Use this if the print shop does not accept PDF.
- JPG — best for photo-quality output where file size matters. Lossy compression, no transparency.
Export settings
The export panel shows:
- Page range — all pages, or a specific range
- Resolution — DPI. 300 DPI is standard for print. 150 DPI is acceptable for drafts.
- Colour profile — RGB for screen, CMYK for print. Most print shops prefer CMYK.
- Bleed — add 3 mm bleed for full-coverage designs.
Export from each tool
- Print Studio — File -> Export
- Print Sheet — File -> Export for print
- Print Doc — File -> Export as PDF
After export
The exported file is saved to your downloads folder. Upload it to the HDPrint ordering page at the shop's counter or send it to a print shop of your choice.
