Non-destructive image adjustments
Every adjustment in Print Studio is a property of the placed image, not a modification of the original pixels.
What is non-destructive?
The original image file remains untouched. The adjustments are stored as a stack of operations applied at render time. You can edit or remove any adjustment, change its order, or reset to the original.
Available adjustments
The properties panel exposes:
- Brightness — additive light
- Contrast — separation of light and dark
- Exposure — multiplicative light, more pronounced than brightness
- Saturation — colour intensity
- Colour balance — independent shifts in highlights, midtones, and shadows
- Temperature — warm to cool
- Tint — green to magenta
Filters
Filters are one-click presets that apply a combination of adjustments. They are non-destructive — applying a filter does not commit any pixel changes.
Order of operations
Adjustments are applied in the order they appear in the panel. Drag any adjustment up or down to reorder. The effect can be subtle but important: applying saturation before contrast produces a different result than the reverse.
