Working with shapes and vector fills
Freehand drawing tools: pen for smooth curves, pencil for pressure-sensitive strokes, highlighter for transparent fills.
Using pen, pencil, and highlighter drawing tools
Print Studio has three freehand drawing tools, each with distinct behaviour.
Pen tool
Draws smooth Bézier curves. Click to place anchor points. Drag to pull handles and control the curve. When you close the path, it becomes a fillable vector shape.
Pencil tool
Draws freehand strokes that simulate pressure sensitivity. On devices that support pressure input, the stroke width varies with pressure. On others, it draws at a fixed width. Pencil strokes are raster, not vector.
Highlighter tool
Draws semi-transparent strokes with a wide, flat nib. Useful for marking up documents or adding emphasis without obscuring the content below. Highlighter strokes are always raster.
Colour and width
Select the tool, then use the properties panel to set stroke colour and width. All three tools share the current colour and width settings.
Eraser
The eraser removes portions of raster strokes (pencil and highlighter). It does not affect vector paths.
