Choosing print settings (paper size, color, copies)
The exact steps to scan, upload, configure, and pay for a print order at a local shop.
How to scan a shop QR code and start an order
1. Find the QR code
The shop displays a QR code at the counter, on a stand, or on the wall. It is usually labelled "Scan to order" or "Scan to print".
2. Scan with your phone camera
Open the camera app and point it at the QR code. Most modern phones (iOS 11+, Android 10+) detect QR codes automatically. Tap the notification to open the link in your browser.
3. Upload your file
The page that opens is the shop's ordering page. Tap the upload area and select a file from your phone's storage or a connected cloud drive.
4. Configure print options
Use the on-screen controls to set paper size, colour, copies, duplex, and page range. See Choosing print settings for details.
5. Review the price
The price is calculated based on your configuration and the shop's pricing. Review before paying.
6. Pay
Pay through the on-screen gateway. You will receive an order number and a pickup code.
7. Collect your prints
Give the pickup code to the shop staff. They will hand you the prints. Nothing more is needed at the counter.
